How To Complete The Final Objective Of Destroyer Chapter In Diablo 4 Season 8? – Quit Hitting Yourself Objective Guide
Have you completed Season Journey in Diablo 4 Season 8? I believe that old players of Diablo 4 know that Season Journey is a companion guide that provides players with routes and objectives from the beginning of the game to the endgame, helping them to familiarize themselves with and understand the game faster.
The system consists of a series of objectives divided into seven chapters, each of which will roughly guide the player’s progress. Completing individual objectives and chapters in Season Journey not only provides players with different materials and equipment, but also a large amount of Diablo 4 materials to help them move forward.
About Destroyer Chapter
In fact, the objectives of Season Journey range from completing some simple tasks to completing more tough challenges as the chapters progress. Ultimately, completing all objectives in Destroyer Chapter will earn you an achievement and obtain a Player Title.
Here, we will show you all the steps to complete Quit Hitting Yourself objective in Season 8 Destroyer Chapter. This objective is key to completing the final chapter.
So why is completing Destroyer Chapter so important? Because not only does it provide some cosmetic rewards, but most importantly it gives you a Resplendent Spark, which we can then use to obtain Mythic Unique items, such as crafting a specific Mythic at Jeweler, or crafting at Blacksmith for a random drop.
To craft these Mythic Uniques, you will need a lot of Diablo 4 gold and specific runes, in addition to the required Resplendent Spark. If your build is missing a key Mythic Unique item, this is indeed the most reliable way to obtain it.
Quit Hitting Yourself Objective
Quit Hitting Yourself objective requires you to defeat 6 Uber Bosses in Torment 4 using their own Boss Power.
- Defeat Tormented Varshan using Varshan’s Life Steal
- Defeat Tormented Beast in the Ice using Beast in the Ice’s Sleet
- Defeat Tormented Duriel using Duriel’s Burrow
- Defeat Tormented Grigoire using Grigoire’s Lightning Square
- Defeat Tormented Lord Zir using Lord Zir’s Blood Pool
- Defeat Tormented Andariel using Andariel’s Flaming Skull
Remember, to gain Boss Powers, you must defeat these bosses in Torment 1 or higher. Once you gain a power, I highly recommend using Spectral Ash to increase its power to its maximum level for this specific objective.
How To Accomplish?
So how do we accomplish this objective? Let’s take Lord Zir as an example. When you defeat Lord Zir, you gain his Blood Pool boss power. Next, you must equip this Boss Power as your primary power, then teleport to the boss and defeat him in Torment 4 using this setup.
While this may seem easy for very powerful players, it can be a challenge for early game players who are short on D4 gold and are still upgrading their Paragon levels, Glyphs, and Masterworking gear.
Remember that Uber Boss is much stronger compared to the lower Torment versions. So I recommend you to at least Masterwork all your gear to level 8, and reach Paragon level 200 and Glyphs level 46.
Then, move on to defeating the other bosses. Honestly, as long as you have the basic gear and level requirements, as we said, you are pretty sure when facing them. Especially when taking on Duriel, you can move even faster than him when you sneak underground, so it won’t take long for you to kill every one of them except Andariel.
The last Andariel Boss Power is going to be a nightmare, so be prepared. So where do we start? Almost everything she throws at you can be killed in one hit. So this boss fight is almost designed to kill you in many ways.
Besides that, she has two awesome powers. The first is a giant Laser Beam that spins around the arena and fires after a few seconds, and if you get hit by it, you’ll die instantly. The other is a Flaming Skull, which is connected by a Fire Beam and collides with each other as it spins. So once you’re caught between these two beams, you’ll have to wait to restart the game!
So before we go on, how do you avoid getting caught in the middle? If Laser Beam starts far away from the Skull, pretend you’re going to hit Fire Beam on purpose, and Laser Beam will fire for a split second, and you can get back to the side where Laser Beam fired, avoiding getting burned by Fire Beam.
Note that Laser Beam fires randomly, so it won’t always start there. Sometimes, they’ll appear almost next to each other, and if that happens, there’s a split second that indicates Laser Beam is about to appear. You have to dash through and get to the other side before the beam appears, and get to safety.
This may sound weird, but the fact is that you have to die a lot before you know where to stand and what to do. They are random and there are no intermissions. But it is not impossible to complete this objective if you are patient.
The good news is that this is one of the two objectives that you do not need to complete to get Resplendent Spark. The other one is to defeat Echo of Lilith with Belial Boss Power. Trust me, taking on Andariel is a walk in the park compared to Lilith. However, if you want to push the limits and get all Season Journey rewards, completing these objectives is inevitable. I hope this guide will help you!
